In the Spotlight – Tina Traverse

It’s a pleasure to welcome Tina Traverse into the spotlight today! Tina is the author of the novel, Destiny of the Vampire. And I do love vampires. Let’s find out more.

About Tina Traverse

Tina began to write at the age of 8 years old when she wrote my version of the bible story, “The Good Samaritan”. That inspired her to continue with the hobby that quickly became her passion.

This passionate affair continued for 30 years and there are no signs of it waning.

Tina says that she “will admit for a time when I was pregnant with my own first born son, Christian, it cooled, but never faded, I soon found out when the desire to write came calling once again when I needed to find a way to cope with heartbreaking news.
I always knew that there was something wrong with Christian from the moment he was born, I and the doctors, just could not put their finger on it. While physically, Christian thrived, mentally/emotionally not so well. His behaviours were a little disturbing. Finally after 9 years of pulling my hair out, and slipping into some pretty dark places myself, he was diagnosed with Autism. My method of coping was to write a story about his/our journey called Forever Christian.”

Please join me in finding out more about Tina!

About “Ghost Memory”

La Fi is not having a normal day. She broke someone’s nose, embarrassed her fiancé, Thulu, and now a dead guy is on her doorstep. Although seeing the dead is not unusual for the young medium, since she and Thulu regularly deal with the supernatural. Thulu can find anything that’s lost and the amnesiac ghost is missing money, along with his memory.

Peter Swanson used to stash money throughout his San Francisco home. Now he can’t remember his hiding places, and his aging partner needs the money. That’s not normally a problem for Thulu, but some of the money is missing from the house. Thulu and La Fi must broaden the search for cash long gone, and that could prove tricky in more ways than one.

“Ghost Memory” is A Thulukan Chronicles Story set in the Relics universe. Bonus Material includes Chapter 1 from the novel Relics, Book 1 of The Thulukan Chronicles.

You can buy Ghost Memory (A Thulukan Chronicles Story) at Amazon and Smashwords.

In the Spotlight – Constance Phillips

ConnieConstance Phillips is one of my favorite people and she’s back today to chat with us some more about writing and her historical/paranormal romance, Resurrecting Harry. This was one of my favorite books I read so far this year and I had a few more questions for Constance, her writing process and, of course, her book.

About Constance Phillips

Constance Phillips lives in Ohio with her husband, two ready-to-leave-the-nest children, and four canine kids. Her perfect fantasy vacation would involve hunting Dracula across Europe with her daughter, who also digs that kind of stuff. When she’s not writing about fairies, shifters, vamps, and guardian angels, she’s working side-by-side with her husband in their hardwood flooring business.

Constance is actively involved in her local Romance Writers of America chapter (MVRWA) and the Southeast Michigan chapter of the United States Pony Club. When not writing or enjoying the outdoors, she loves reality television or can be found at a Rick Springfield concert (just look for the pink Converse high tops).

In the Spotlight – Simon Okill

Simon Tour

Not too long ago I featured a cover reveal for a new novel, Luna Sanguis, a blood-red-hot, 18+ trip to the darker side. Today, the man behind the book, the wonderful and generous Simon Okill, has joined me to share some things about himself and his new novel.

About Simon Okill in His Own Words

I live with my wife, Shirlee Anne and our cat, in a pretty coastal town in South Wales, UK. We both love Stephen King and had read many of his books and enjoyed their transition to the screen. Due to our love of books, my wife and I dabbled in writing for some years as a hobby. We were approached by a film company to write a paranormal TV series. We struggled most nights and all through weekends to come up with 22 episodes only for the company to go bust. Then after an accident at work, I was forced into early retirement due to disability. I used my newfound skills as a writer to help with my depression. We decided to use our TV series episodes as templates for film scripts and novels. My writing became more serious as certain A-list actors expressed interest in my scripts and my debut novel Nobody Loves a Bigfoot Like a Bigfoot Babe was accepted by Christopher Matthews Publishing after so many British publishers turned it down.

Thanks, Lisa Brackmann!

Lisa Brackmann was kind enough to be my Guest Host at Mysterious Galaxy last weekend. In this photo, she was reading my Bio aloud to the audience. I love this Bio and can say that because I didn’t write it. 🙂 It was written by a fabulous author who will be a guest on “in the Spotlight” in the near future. More on that later!
