Please join me in welcoming today’s fascinating guest, author Roy Huff. Roy’s YA epic fantasy, Everville: The First Pillar, blends a contemporary setting with the ingredients we’ve come to expect in epic fantasy, when a college freshman travels to another dimension, Everville. I’m still reading this book, love the premise and I’m thoroughly enjoying it.

In the Spotlight – Katie O’Sullivan

katie_osullivan_photoIt’s a pleasure to welcome my friend Katie O’Sullivan to the blog today. Katie and I went through the pre-launch jitters together as we waited for our books to launch within weeks of each other. We also were part of the group of five authors putting together a giant Twitter party. The one that ended up being a Facebook party when Twitter let us down. Katie is a wonderful person and a talented author and I’m honored that I was able to get to know her over the last couple months. Her new book, Son of a Mermaid, is a fun and engaging read and perfect for summer! Please join me in welcoming her to my blog.

In the Spotlight – Jordan K. Rose

kim

Today we’re changing it up a little and not only featuring Jordan K. Rose and her next book, but also her brand new blog, “Eva Prim’s Snack of the Week Blog.” Jordan is the author of the novel, Perpetual Light. Eva Prim is the heroine of Jordan’s new book, The Demon Mistress, due out in October, 2013. The blog is written from Eva’s point of view and features the friends Eva makes as she surfs the internet. Please join me as we learn a little more about all three!

About Jordan K. Rose

After trying her hand at many, many things- from crafting and art classes to cooking and sewing classes to running her own handbag business, Jordan finally figured out how to channel her creativity. With an active imagination and a little encouragement from her husband she sat down and began to write, each night clicking away at the keys with her black Labrador, Dino curled up under the desk.

A few short years later she’s entered the publishing arena with no plans to ever turn back.

Jordan’s a member of several RWA Chapters.

Read on for more about Jordan, her new blog and the book that inspires it.

It’s always a pleasure to meet a new writer and find out about the processes they use in creating their worlds. Today I’m joined by W.L. Sexton, featuring her steamy new novel, Raven’s Quest. This red hot novel (18+) is the first of a series that revolves around three women.

About W.L. Sexton

Wendy grew up in Norwalk, California adopted at the age of two days.  At the age of 44 Wendy found her Birth Mother. They are making up for time lost. When Wendy is not drag racing, with her husband of twenty two years, she is running the racing team, working as a Trade Show Coordinator, or shopping at the Coach Store. You can find her running the highways between Phoenix, Las Vegas and  California. You can always find her with some-kind of coffee product in her hand. She loves fast cars, music and tattoos.

Magical Book Signing! Criss Angel at B&N

What happens when magic comes to Earth? Criss Angel happens!

Criss - Maer1

Barnes & Noble Northwest in Las Vegas held a book signing event for local authors May 18th. I was fortunate to be one of the authors included that day. It was getting near the end of our event when who shows up? Criss Angel! He was there to shoot an episode for his new TV show and we got to see him perform some awesome magic. You might even (or might not) see me on the show, depending on what makes it to final cut. Either way it was the perfect magical ending to a lovely day! Thanks, Criss Angel!
