You know how the host is always asking people how they feel on those talent shows on TV? And they struggle to find words that haven’t been said a hundred times before. Well, I know first-hand how they feel.

I have my very first book deal with Crescent Moon Press! It’s still not completely real to me five days later. And now my very first book has its own page RELICS. I even have an author page!

So, how do I feel? I feel great! Deliciously, wonderfully, awesomely, fantastically great. I still have so much to learn about this business and I look forward to every stage and every step and every task. I’m going to savor and treasure every least little thing because I am so incredibly lucky and I know it!

Maybe now I’ll recount more of the journey I’ve undergone these last two years. I held off because who am I to give advice, right? Well, I probably won’t give much advice, but I can certainly share some things I’ve learned. Especially the “what not to do” variety.

Right now, I’m going to bask in the glow of knowing my book will be published. For me, this is extremely important on a lot of levels. I love to write and tell stories and it’s wonderful to have my novel validated. Entertaining people is fun for me and hopefully I’ve done that with RELICS. On another level, I never had children, well not human ones. My acting was mostly onstage and the work I did there is only a memory now.

But my book will be something that lasts. I have a legacy! And that feels incredible.
