A fan of authors of almost every genre from Isaac Asimov to Chelsea Quinn Yarbro, she writes classic fantasy, romance, suspense, and as V.J. Devereaux, erotic romance. Who knows what will pop up down the road!

Happily married, she’s companion to two dogs, four cats and an African clawed frog named Hopper who delights in tormenting the cats from his tank.

BOBpix1Today I welcome S.B. Redstone to the blog with his mystery novel, A Sinister Obsession. Described as “a page turner thriller” by a Top 500 Amazon Reviewer, this novel sounds intriguing, edgy and dark. Just my cup of tea!

About S.B. Redstone

After attaining master’s degrees in Social Work and School Psychology, and then completing a post-graduate education in Psychoanalytic Therapy, he became a School and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in his private therapy practice on Long Island. S.B. wrote a personal improvement book, Taming Your Inner & Outer Bullies: Confronting Life’s Stressors And Winning. He’s also written articles on the web concerning human nature and relationships, given lectures, and appeared on radio shows. Always having a vivid imagination and a desire to write, he became a successful writer of short stories. It was time to move on to larger works. His mystery novel, A Sinister Obsession, was published by Black Opal Books. As an expert in the field of human psychology, S.B. has been able to develop realistic characters from the dark side of human nature where his villains don’t aspire for happiness through personal achievement, but rather from their demented narcissistic schemes. Many of his characters have roots from his clinical work. S.B, is a member of the International Thriller Writers Org.

Writer by day… and night. There is very little time in the day when he isn’t writing, or at least thinking about writing. Sam is also a huge Marvel fan, movie buff and proud Potterhead. Give him a book by J K Rowling, Stephen King or anything with plenty of action, fantasy and adventure; or a movie directed by Steven Spielberg, Peter Jackson or JJ Abrams and he’s happy. When Sam isn’t writing you could probably find him reading, mountain biking or exploring the Yorkshire countryside where he live. The Prophecy of Three Quartet was born from an abiding fascination with myths and legends and the inspiring, epic countryside of England.

In the Spotlight – Thomas Rydder

Thomas Rydder is the author of the paranormal novel, The Clearing, and his story collection, Restless Souls: 3 dark fables. He’s fun, generous with his time and has a wicked sense of humor. Thomas is always quick with a word of support and encouragement to his fellow writers. He’s one of the good guys.

About Thomas Rydder

Thomas was born in 1957 in a small town in Western Pennsylvania that had — and still has — one traffic light. There wasn’t a whole lot to do there, so he learned to play quite a bit of make-believe – soldiers, cowboys and Indians, that kind of thing. At the same time, he loved to read and watch old movies.

Since childhood, he loved to create. Thomas played trumpet, sang, even dabbled in genealogy. Nothing quite did it for him. One day his wife suggested that he try writing. He wrote a short story, and everyone liked it. So, he wrote another one. Except it kept growing, and he kept getting more ideas, and it lengthened to 20 thousand words, then 30, then 40. By the time he sat back, he had the rough draft of his first novel, except back then it was called “Werewolves and Flapjacks”. Somewhere along the way he decided to submit his work to publishers. The result was The Clearing.

bob_zpse8b654a8Today’s author treat is the truly awesome R.M. Clark. I’ve known R.M. for a couple years now and he’s a talented and engaging writer. He’s also smart, helpful and generous with his time. I thoroughly enjoyed Dizzy Miss Lizzie and I’m so looking forward to reading Center Point! I’ve been hearing some really good things about it.

R.M. Clark is a writer and dedicated civil servant. He has written several middle grade books, including Dizzy Miss Lizzie. He lives in southeastern Massachusetts with his wife, two sons and crazy critters. Center Point is his debut “grown up” novel.

About Avery Olive

Avery Olive doesn’t kiss and tell. Except when it comes to writing about hot supernatural guys. She lives with her husband and son in Red Deer, Alberta, where she spends way too much time reading, writing and avoiding house work.

Currently, she’s the author of A Stiff Kiss, a young adult novel with a morbid twist on a classic fairytale, in reverse, and Won’t Let Go, involving an amnesic ghostboy who just won’t move on.

What she is sure of is that writing will always give her the chance to escape and hopes to release many more novels in the future.

About Candy Ann Little

Candy Ann Little grew up in a small town in Ohio. She now resides in Michigan with her husband, two adult kids and 4 cats. She began writing in the aftermath of tragedy – her third child was stillborn. The nurse suggested keeping a journal to cope with the grief. Although she thought it a dumb idea at the time, she soon found a freedom and healing that only writing brought.

Eventually that pain and sorrow turned into her first Inspirational romance, Unforgiving Ghosts. Since then she has finished 2 more inspirational romances. Her historical romance The Unwilling Bride was published in 2011. She has also tried writing in the genre of mystery, including a novella, Death By Broken Heart, and her first full length novel, Murder of an Oil Heiress. Candy Ann finds it therapeutic putting her thoughts into the words and action of her characters. She also finds that discipline is the biggest lesson learned in her writing life.

When she isn’t busy writing, you can find her subbing in the public schools, or helping with church activities. Her favorite things to do are reading, cooking, baking and doing crafts.
