His sense of humor is one that brings a smile and out-loud-laughter. Simon is one of the reviewers over on the MythBehaving website, and it’s always a pleasure to get to work with him. It’s a pleasure to welcome Thomas to the blog today. I’m currently listening to the audio version of his novel, Sounds of Wars. This historical fiction debut gives the reader an evocative, gritty look at the war in Iraq.

Anna lived and was raised in the beautiful land and country of Zimbabwe, Africa (home will always be home). She relocated to Wanaque, New Jersey, USA, where her younger son Frankie took up his “American Dream”. The title of her book, My First Travel Book was inspired by Frankie (Captain Frankie).  Anna’s favorite saying is “Be Bold Be Brave”. Her dream is to be given the opportunity for her book to reach each and every less fortunate child who will have the opportunity to fantasy travels from the comfort of their homes and see world destinations. She hopes to one day to give back and assist the needy in Africa and beyond, to keep giving care and love to the less fortunate. Whilst in Zimbabwe she was involved with many charitable organizations and groups where her greatest passion and love was with the primitive, simple people of Zimbabwe, Africa and will still continue to reach out to the many beautiful children of the world.

RA Odum grew up and still lives in Georgia. Her love for writing and stories started in her grandmother’s attic and never stopped. Born sixteen weeks early and loss of vision in one eye, RA faces obstacles head on.  From the time she was very small, she has had a host of characters in her head, screaming for their stories to be told. When she is not writing, she loves to spend time with her family, sing and read. She also enjoys learning and teaching others American Sign Language. She hopes her novels will inspire and make a difference.

Lynne Cantwell

As part of this ultra cool tour, today’s special guest is Lynne Cantwell. Lynne is celebrating the release of a new series, Land, Sea, Sky. It’s exciting to see this new series from the author of the popular series, The Pipe Woman Chronicles.

Lynne Cantwell

Lynne Cantwell has been writing fiction since the second grade, when the kid who sat in front of her showed her a book he had written, and she thought, “I could do that.” The result was Susie and the Talking Doll, a picture book, illustrated by the author, about a girl who owned a doll that not only could talk, but could carry on conversations. The book had dialogue but no paragraph breaks. Today, after a twenty-year career in broadcast journalism and a master’s degree in fiction writing from Johns Hopkins University (or perhaps despite the master’s degree), Lynne is still writing fantasy. In addition, she is a contributing author at Indies Unlimited.

In the Spotlight – Katheryn Lane

Spotlight Blue

Katheryn Lane

Today we meet the enigmatic Katherine Lane. The shy Katherine does not have an author photo and instead sends us roses as a lovely heart to use when we think of her.

Katheryn Lane

Rose HeartKatheryn is a wife, teacher, author and mother of two boisterous boys, so most of her days are taken up with finding lost school shoes, getting stuck in traffic and wondering why she always joins the queue that doesn’t move in the supermarket. However, she tries to forget these daily problems (and the fact that she burnt the toast again this morning) by losing herself in a good book and writing novels that give readers a break from everyday life.

Open one of her books and escape on an adventure to an exotic location, because it’s easier to buy a book than it is to book an air ticket.

Have a break, read a book!
