Today’s guest is from the world of poetry. Ollie Lambert has a unique voice and with his first poetry collection, Quintessensual, published at only sixteen years old, we can expect even greater things from this young author.

About Ollie Lambert

Ollie Lambert is a sixteen-year-old poet from Sussex. His poetry writing stemmed from a love for music and song-writing in particular. He found that his lyrics took the form of poetry in many respects so decided to try his hand at some poetic pieces.  To get criticism on his work he joined a writing site, where he received feedback and help on refining his poetry technique. Ever since he has won competitions for his poetry, website, and his work online in general. Although his age may be considered a disadvantage, he see’s it as an opportunity to learn from others and hopefully by starting out young, his writing journey will become an extended one.

In the Spotlight – C.E. Kilgore

Kilgore authorRight now I’m reading Ghost in the Machine from the “Corwint Central Agent Files” series by C.E. Kilgore. I’m enjoying this intriguing sci fi novel and it’s a pleasure to welcome the author here today to talk about the recently released third book in series, Tracing the Stars.

 About C.E. Kilgore

C.E. Kilgore has always had a love of romantic stories and science fiction. Although active in the writing community during her undergraduate studies, she chose to focus on her love of history and culture. Graduating with an HBA in History and a BA in Cultural Anthropology, she puts a deep emphasis on creating characters and environments within her writing that are full of both culture and history. The relationship development between characters and the worlds they live in is also an important aspect of her stories. Sarcasm, comedy, hidden “modern” references and subtle hints at underlined universal meanings are common within her writing style, but there is always plenty of action and a darker side lurking just around the corner.

In the Spotlight – Vanessa A. Ryan

Vanessa Ryan author pictureToday’s special Friday the 13th guest is the fabulous Vanessa A. Ryan. A triple threat as an author, actor and artist, I had the pleasure of meeting Vanessa in July. I didn’t get to spend nearly as much time as I would have liked getting to know someone with such a similar background to my own. One thing I do know is that she is talented, supportive and kind, and that’s something to treasure. She even writes in one of my own favorite genres!

About Vanessa A. Ryan

Vanessa A. Ryan is an actress in Southern California. She was born in California and graduated from UCLA. When not writing or acting, she enjoys painting and nature walks. Her paintings and sculptures are collected worldwide. At one point she performed stand up comedy, so her writing often reflects her love of humor, even for serious subjects. She lives with her cat Frannie, and among feral cats she has rescued.

Please read on for more about Vanessa and her first novel, A Blue Moon.
