Book Blast – Rogue Genesis

Rogue Genesis by Ceri London

Rogue Genesis (Shimmer In The Dark #1)

One man. Two worlds separated by a universe. Space-time warped by black holes. In the passing of seconds on Earth, Major Niall Kearey has witnessed the birth and death of generations on Astereal. His mind shortcuts light years to visit a fantastical world of floating sky cities populated by telepaths.

Astereal is in decline, the dueling forces of black holes threaten extinction. Ancient prophecy predicts their interstellar visitor brings salvation. As Niall faces the staggering truth – that his alien dream world is real – he and his family are targeted by secret societies, scheming politicians, and the US military.

Time is running out as Astereal races towards annihilation and temporal alignment with Earth. Power brokers vie for control of his capabilities. Niall must act, balancing the needs of Earth, his family, and the alien civilization he has come to know and love. The fate of two worlds rests on Niall Kearey’s shoulders.

Ceri London

Author Ceri London is married, mother to two girls, and was born and bred in England where she lives today.  After graduating from university, she worked in IT development for an international financial institution then one day started writing science-fiction stories for a hobby, often into the twilight hours. Fifteen years later, a career break to raise her children gradually evolved into a piano tutoring business after Ceri introduced a friend’s daughter to the piano. After completing a long stint of voluntary work as a school governor, Ceri re-indulged her writing muse, switched on the computer—and a few years later published her debut sci-fi/fantasy thriller Rogue Genesis in July 2013, the first of four books in a series called Shimmer in the Dark. She is currently writing the sequel.

Portals cover SmFor supernatural detectives Thulu and La Fi, “normal” is a relative term. La Fi is a medium, Thulu is a finder, and their usual clients are already dead.

But when their friend Reo is shot, and a group of stranded angels show up at their house for help to find a missing child, things are striking too close to home.

And now the portals that let the magical races return to Earth have started opening on their own.

With trips off-world, a kidnapped psychic and changes to their own abilities, Thulu and La Fi are hit with a lot more than they usually handle. Of course, their magical friends are there to help, but even they may not be enough to save an increasingly unstable Earth.

Portals is the sequel to Relics and is Book 2 in The Thulukan Chronicles.

In the Spotlight – C.E. Kilgore

Kilgore authorRight now I’m reading Ghost in the Machine from the “Corwint Central Agent Files” series by C.E. Kilgore. I’m enjoying this intriguing sci fi novel and it’s a pleasure to welcome the author here today to talk about the recently released third book in series, Tracing the Stars.

 About C.E. Kilgore

C.E. Kilgore has always had a love of romantic stories and science fiction. Although active in the writing community during her undergraduate studies, she chose to focus on her love of history and culture. Graduating with an HBA in History and a BA in Cultural Anthropology, she puts a deep emphasis on creating characters and environments within her writing that are full of both culture and history. The relationship development between characters and the worlds they live in is also an important aspect of her stories. Sarcasm, comedy, hidden “modern” references and subtle hints at underlined universal meanings are common within her writing style, but there is always plenty of action and a darker side lurking just around the corner.

In the Spotlight – Jenn Nixon

JennBW

It’s a pleasure to welcome Jenn Nixon, a fellow author from Crescent Moon Press, with her intriguing new novel, Mind: The Beginning. A sci fi thriller that sounds right up my alley, I can’t wait to give this one a read.

About Jenn Nixon

Jenn’s love of writing started the year she received her first diary and Nancy Drew novel. Throughout her teenage years, she kept a diary of her personal thoughts and feelings but graduated from Nancy Drew to other mystery suspense novels.

Jenn often adds a thriller and suspense element to anything she writes be it Romance, Science Fiction, or Fantasy. When not writing, she spends her time reading, observing pop culture, playing with her two dogs, and working on various charitable projects in her home state of New Jersey.

Please read on for more about Jenn and her new novel!

In the Spotlight – Suzanna Williams

It’s a pleasure to host Suzanna Williams for The Finishing Fairies Book Tour!

About Suzanna Williams

Suzanna is a perpetually eighteen year old YA author who lives in the wild, wet, Welsh borderlands surrounded by ruined medieval castles and Celtic mythology where she looks for UFO’s amongst the stars and imagines all the people she meets have dark secrets.

When she is not inventing radical problems for her unsuspecting heroes and plotting their escape, Suzanna is a serial collector of random badly paying jobs and has never found a use for her BSc in Psychology whatsoever.

As a child, Suzanna filled notebook after notebook with stories and her first taste of writing success was a poem published in the local newspaper aged just nine years old. She has written and directed several plays and pantomimes before publishing her debut novel, ShockWaves, in 2012.

Suzanna loves sci-fi action adventures, playing the piano, believes Romeo and Juliet should have talked more and considers sarcasm to be the highest form of wit.

She has a daughter who is a drummer, another daughter who is a driving instructor, a son who is a dancer and a ‘nearly’ grandson she’s dying to meet.
