In Relics, the creatures of magic returned to Earth.

The laws of magic have become as real as the laws of physics, and humans with magical powers are becoming the norm.

But human magic is out of control – powerful, wild, unpredictable. Five ultra-powerful humans rise above the rest to begin a reign of terror, and entire cities fall. The elves and other Elder Races are desperate to find and stop these magical terrorists. But for the first time, the magic of the Elder Races is surpassed.

Thulu and La Fi join the hunt for the human supes causing the planet-wide massacres. With their own magic evolving and erratic, the race to catch the killers becomes far more difficult. They need to find them and stop the chaos before there is no world left to save.

Wedding Ghost Released!

“Wedding Ghost” is now available! It’s already out on Kindle and Smashwords and will soon be out at Barnes & Noble, Kobo and iTunes. Hope you enjoy the new story! As always, thanks so much for your support.

Dreading the spotlight, she’s tempted to elope. But with their wedding only days away, that’s not an option for supernatural detectives, Thulu and La Fi.

Fortunately, a case comes along that helps distract them as the big day approaches. The client is a bride, dead for over ninety years, who wants to find the truth behind her murder.

Add to the mix a teenage ghost fixated on making La Fi his own bride, and since he can’t come back to life, he’s happy to bring her over to his side.

Juggling the case, her wedding and the sinister teenager, La Fi would like to enjoy what should be the happiest day of her life. That’s assuming the ghost boy doesn’t get his way and she actually makes it down the aisle.

“Wedding Ghost” is a prequel novelette in the Modern Magics series.

Cover Reveal – Wedding Ghost

The fourth novelette in the Modern Magics series actually takes place between “Ghost Memory” and ‘Unwanted Ghost.” I had many requests to tell the story of Thulu and La Fi’s wedding, but of course there had to be a ghost involved. 🙂 This one rather surprised me, too. The novelette will be available very soon!

Holiday Playlist – Christmas Eve and Christmas Day

I separated out the last two days, mainly for today’s song, this  Christmas Eve, 2014.

My mother was an incredible singer. She was offered lucrative performing contracts as young as 16 and 17 which her over-protective mother would not let her accept. So sadly, her singing career never happened.

My mom’s favorite Christmas carol was “O, Holy Night.” When I was a child I found a recording she did of this song when she was only 14. I loved that record, not just because it was my mom, but because her voice was incredible. As I grew older, I loved Christmas because she would sing a lot more than usual. Her high notes could still give you chills.

As some of you know, I find Kiri Te Kanawa’s voice very similar to my mother’s. So this Christmas Eve, my playlist includes my own fave (and Mom’s) carol, I was able to find a clip of Dame Kiri singing this song. It takes me back.

So this one is for all of our lost (but never forgotten) loved ones. Merry Christmas Eve, everyone! (Even if you don’t celebrate.)
